This is a rough draft of my design manifest for materials and processes

An Incomplete Manifesto for Design
1.     Get out of the house. Don’t waist time watching TV and surfing the internet. Interacting with even the super market attendant can plant a seed for a new idea.
2.     Don’t get attached to an idea. Your first idea is never your best idea. You have to always keep pushing it the next level.
3.     Research. Know what you are designing. Other people have already taken the liberty to research, so take advantage of those recourses. But do your own research to; it will save you from a lot of mistakes and bad ideas.
4.     Just start. It is better to start with something completely stupid than to stall even longer.
5.     Be inspired. It is ok to be inspired by other designer’s works.
6.     Don’t stress. When you start getting really stressed: stop and remind yourself that this is what you love doing.
7.     Respect the environment. As a designer the environment is in the palm of your hands. It is your responsibility to choose processes and materials that will not do damage to the earth but will also make it better than how we found it.
8.     Design is Design is Design. Don’t restrict yourself to only one genre of design.
9.     Practice makes Perfect. Always practice designing, weathers it is drawing or photoshoping.
10.  Stay updated. Know what is going on in the design world but also what is going on in the real world like global warming.
