Last week in my materials and processes class we watched a video about design you can eat. Which was basically about how everything we take from the earth should eventually be put back in the earth as its original form. The hope is that we will one day not just be satisfied with not harming the world, but hopefully be able to give back to the world and literally make it a better place. A lot of this responsibility is on architects and designers to make products that are not wasteful. Watching this video has got me really excited about design. I never wanted to be apart of "the problem" of consumerism, and its nice to see designers that are taking a positive approach.
